Great science experiments room 2. Did Ciarstyn forget to tell you that when you push the straw into the potato without putting your thumb over the top it makes it tricky to push in. But when you put your thumb over the top of the straw you trap air inside the straw creating pressure. As a result the straw goes into the potato with ease.
