Kapa Haka

On Friday we went on a bus with the Kapa Haka group to Middlemarch. The bus trip was long but fun.
We stopped for morning tea and we got to play in the playground.
After that we were welcomed into the hall. The group sang us some songs and did some actions.
When they sang we sang with them.
John and Chanse spoke  and gave a koha.
Next we walked into the school and we were given some sausages, cake and drink.
We had a play and we did some games like poi and rakau.  We all met on the court and sang together and then we got back on the bus.
We played I Spy on the way back.
It was a big, long, FUN day!

  2. Ella Rose and Jack,
I really enjoyed reading your blog post. What a fantastic day it was. What was your favourite part of the day? I really enjoyed the Powhiri. I loved listening to the Maori songs and people talking in Maori. I am very excited for when they come to visit us later in the year.
