Soccer tournament

Well done to Jimmy, Thomas and Luke who won their final at the Soccer tournament at Sunnyvale on Sunday. And also well done to Miach who also got into the final.
Awesome effort boys.

Whanau Tower Challenge

Using spaghetti, tape and a marsh-mellow we had to make  a free standing tower. The tallest one won.

Working together

Today we worked together. 
A stadium was created.

Two mazes were created.

And the Titanic was made for Jordy.

Daniel was Tackler of the Day for Rugby, Thomas was Player of the Day for Soccer and Nash was Player of the day for Rugby. Well done.

Whanau Hui

A big "thank you" to all of those who could come to the Whanau hui last night. It was a great evening and I hope you enjoyed seeing and hearing about the learning throughout the school. Thank you to the PTA for a fabulous meal especially to Brad Gilmore who cooked all of the meat patties.

Science News

Zach showed us how the fat in the milk went to the dish washing liquid on the cotton bud and pushed the food colouring away to make a picture. 

Nash told us some really interesting facts from his book. 

Did you know that a blue whale's tongue weighs more than an elephant and 

lemons contain more sugar than strawberries.

Players of the Day

Well done to George who won Player of the Day for rugby and Miach who won Player of the Day for soccer.

Our TV stars

George and his family were on  TV1 because of their Royal names.
Luke was very lucky to be chosen to run out onto the field at the Highlanders rugby game on Saturday.

Rice Day

Today we had our Rice Day to show solidarity to those who don't have a lot to eat and often eat the same food day after day.

Golf

We had a great session with Melanie today at golf. She was very impressed with the skill level of the children.

Fabulous Science News today

We had very interesting Science news today.
Jamie showed us his book about the weather.
Thomas has planted a swan plant seed for us to grow at school.
Scarlett brought along an indoor spider plant for us to grow at school.
And Max showed us how his volcano worked.
