Science Experiments in Room 5

Look at what we have been doing in Room 5 for Science. Ask your children what we have found out. 

How to make a Lava Lamp by Sam

     To make a Lava Lamp

1.   Fill a clear glass about ¾ full of water

    2. Add about 5 drops of red food colouring

    3. Slowly pour ¼ cup of vegetable oil into glass

    4. Sprinkle 1 teasp of salt on top of oil

    5. Watch the blobs of lava move up and down the glass

    6. Repeat with salt to keep effect going
